10th
December 2005 - Clumber Spaniels - fantastic
news from LKA Championship Show where Andy & Ian Shaw's Debrics Weather Girl at Greencourt (sired by
Maursett Mungo at Kinniel) was awarded the Bitch CC (which
gained her the all important Show Champion title and her Junior
Warrant) and Best of Breed by Michelle Meredith, breed
specialist judge.

The Maursett Mob send their big
congratulations to Sh Ch Debrics Weather Girt at Greencourt JW. A big well done to
her owners, Andy & Ian.
12th
November 2005 - German Wirehaired Pointers - Fizz -
(Sh Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett)
sends her congratulations to her daughter, Sassy (Maursett
Marelda via Normbar) who so impressed breed judge Mrs Jean
Marshall, that she took the Reserve CC at Gundog Breeds of
Scotland Championship Show. A big well done to
Sassy's owner, Norma Ellis.
22nd
October
2005 - German Wirehaired Pointers - Fizz -
(Sh Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett)
does it again as she goes Best in Show at the Northern HPR Club
Show at Bowburn (for the second show in a row!). She
gained Best of Breed from a strong set of classes under breed
specialist judge Mr Rob Geary, before taking the ultimate award
from BIS judge Mrs Sue Harris.
14th October
2005 -
Clumber Spaniels:
Ian Layfield judged Driffield Championship show and awarded Minor
Puppy Bitch to our own
Maursett Maude;
meanwhile, Maude's litter brother, Dave Smith's
Maursett Medraut of Karikad
won the Best Puppy in Breed award. Another winner with a
Maursett involvement was Jane and Walter Lucas's Eilandon
Glencoe at Lubyrnetyre
(a son of Riff Raff -
Sh Ch Maursett Mindsapint) who
continued his winning ways with a first in the limit class.
German Wirehaired Pointers - Norma Ellis's
Maursett Marelda via Normbar (daughter
of Fizz -
Sh Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett) wins the Junior Bitch class
judged by Mrs Gill Simpson at Driffield.
2nd October
2005 -
Clumber Spaniels:
Tracy George judged the Clumber Spaniel Championship Show and
awarded Best Veteran and the Stud Dog Class to
Sh Ch Maursett Mindsapint - a first
outing in Veteran for Riff Raff! Meanwhile, other
Maursetts proved their worth as Dave Smith's Maursett Medraut of
Karikad won the Minor Puppy Dog and Best Minor Puppy award
whilst Andy Shaw's Debrics Weather Girl at Greencourt (sired by
Maursett Mungo at Kinniel) won Best Puppy in Show, to add to the
two CCs she has already won.
German Wirehaired
Pointers:
Maursett Meinerzhagen won his breed class at Hartlepool
under Judge Jeff Roberts; Milo's mother, our own
Sh Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett
(Fizz)
won Open and took the Best of Breed award.
Two locations, two very enjoyable shows!
9th September 2005 -
Clumber Spaniels:
Maureen judged the breed at Richmond Championship Show and
awarded the Dog CC and Best of Breed to Walter and Jane Lucas's
Eilandon Glencoe at Lubyrnetyre; Best Puppy and the Bitch
CC went to Andy Shaw's Debric's Weather Girl at Greencourt.
German Wirehaired
Pointers: meanwhile, we enjoyed more
success at the same show, with Maursett
Meinerzhagen
winning the Junior Dog class from
Judge Mrs Norma Ellis (Normbar).
28th August
2005 -
Clumber Spaniels:
Maursett Mamile,
wins the Post Graduate Dog/Bitch class at the Scottish Kennel
Club's Championship Show; the same judge, Sharon
Pinkerton, awarded Best Bitch to
Sh Ch
Maursett Mildraed
after she won the Open Bitch class.
6th August
2005 -
Clumber Spaniels:
Maursett Mamile, back in the show ring
after an absence, wins Limit Bitch and is then awarded the
Reserve CC by Eunice King at the National Gundog Association
Championship show. German Wirehaired Pointers:
congratulations to
Fizz's daughter,
Maursett Marelda via Normbar who won the Junior Bitch class
for GWPs at the same show for her owner Norma Ellis.
10th July
2005 -
German Wirehaired Pointers: Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) ends his days in the puppy classes by winning
Puppy Dog and Reserve Best Puppy at the German Wirehaired
Pointer Club's
Championship Show.
25th June 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: Maureen judged the Breed at
Blackpool Championship Show and awarded the Dog CC and Best of
Breed to Sh Ch Bareve Bantu, with the Reserve CC going to
Amicaro Apache at Carrmyers. Maureen awarded the Bitch CC
(her first) to Hartperry Alindaville with the Reserve Bitch CC
going to Amicaro Iowa at Karlejay. Best Puppy in Breed was
Bareve Baracouda at Bethersden. Maureen would like to
thank the exhibitors for an excellent entry.
18th June 2005 -
German Wirehaired Pointers: Mrs V Mann judged the
breed at the Border Union Agricultural Society Championship Show.
Although there were no CCs on offer at this show, Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) won yet another class and took the Reserve
Best Dog award and Best Puppy in Breed.
22nd May 2005 -
German Wirehaired Pointers: Mrs J Baddeley judged the
breed at the SKC Championship Show. Once again, Fizz's (Sh
Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett)
offspring do her proud - Fizz's son, Milo, is being campaigned (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) and he produces another
win, taking the Best Puppy in Breed award; a good day for
Fizz's kids was completed as Norma Ellis's Sassy (Maursett
Marelda via Normbar) won the Puppy Bitch class with her
sister, Maursett Madelhari (owned by Paul Wyer and Abbi
Marshall-Wyer) coming second.
6th May 2005 -
German Wirehaired Pointers: Mrs M White judged GWPs with
CCs at The National Dog Show. The show brought more
Maursett success stories as Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) won Puppy Dog and went on to take
Best Puppy in Breed; Milo's litter sister's also did
well with Maursett Madelhari (owned by Paul Wyer and Abbi
Marshall-Wyer) winning Puppy Bitch and
Maursett
Marelda via Normbar taking second place in the Puppy Bitch
class.
10th April 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) wins the Minor Puppy Dog and Novice Dog
Classes at the German Wirehaired Pointer Club's Open Show.
The Judge, Mr Tony Rainey, also gave the Minor Puppy Bitch class
to another of Fizz's offspring, Maursett Madelhari (owned by
Paul Wyer and Abbi Marshall-Wyer).
2nd April 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: Fizz (Sh Ch Normbar Coleen
of Maursett) takes Best in Show (Judge Mr Kevin Grewcock) at the
North of England HPR Club Open Show after taking Best of Breed
GWP (Breed Specialist Judge Mr John Marshall. Fizz's
daughter, Maursett
Marelda via Normbar was awarded Best Puppy in Breed at the
same show.
20th March 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: congratulations to Norma
Ellis, whose Maursett
Marelda via Normbar (Sassy, to her friends) takes Best Puppy
and Best of Breed GWP at the Newton Aycliffe Canine Society's
Open Show.
6th March 2005 - German
Wirehaired Pointers: Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen) wins the Post Graduate GWP class and is
awarded Best Puppy in Breed at the Gateshead Metropolitan Open
Show. Milo was shortlisted for the Gundog Puppy group.
27th February 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: Fizz (Sh
Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett) wins Best of Breed German
Wirehaired Pointer at Yorkshire Gundog Club's Open Show;
continued success for her son, Milo (Maursett
Meinerzhagen), who won the Junior Class and Fizz's
daughter, Maursett Madelhari (owned by Paul Wyer and Abbi
Marshall-Wyer) won Best Puppy in Breed to complete a highly
successful day for the Maursett Mob.
19th February 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: Fizz (Sh
Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett) wins Best AV Gundog NSC and
her son, Milo (Maursett Meinerzhagen),
is declared Best AV Gundog NSC Puppy by judge Mrs Cath Steele (Sharnamber)
at the Jarrow & Hebburn Canine Society's Open Show. Fizz
went on to take Group 3 in the Gundog Group. CLUMBER
SPANIELS: meanwhile,
Maursett
Mamile wins the Junior Clumber Spaniel class at the same
show (Judge Mrs L McBeth - Maclaurien).
28th January 2005 -
German Wirehaired Pointers: Fizz makes her
debut in print as a new limited edition (strictly limited to
500) by Simon Eardley is published, with Fizz (Sh Ch Normbar
Coleen of Maursett) as the central
feature:
23rd January 2005
- German Wirehaired Pointers: A great
day for the Maursett GWPs at Manchester Championship Show, under
breed specialist judge Mrs Barbara Abbishaw (Hastabbi). Fizz (Sh
Ch Normbar Coleen of Maursett) took Reserve Best Bitch, whilst
her "children" did her proud - Maursett
Marelda via Normbar (owned by Mrs Norma Ellis) took Best Puppy
in Breed, Maursett Madelhari (owned by Mr P Wyer & Mrs Abbe
Marshall-Wyer) was 3rd in Puppy bitch and Maursett
Meinerzhagen took 2nd in Puppy Dog (he showed his true medals, however,
peeing on Tony's trousers just before we left the
show!). Many thanks to the judge and to those who gave
us such nice comments from the ringside.
1st January 2005 - Everyone
at Maursett wishes you all a happy, successful, enjoyable and, above
all else, a healthy 2005. A number of
Maursett
Clumbers and
GWPs
will be in the ring
during the coming months, along with
Nora
B and various offspring.
