8 December 2001 -  German Wirehaired Pointers: Fizz (Normbar Coleen of Maursett) qualifies for Crufts at LKA with Judge Mrs A Johnson awarding her second in GWP Puppy Bitch, her first outing at at Championship Show.  Clumbers: RiffRaff (Maursett Mindsapint) picks up another Reserve CC, this time from Mrs A Shaw,  in the Clumber Spaniel classes at the same show..

25 November 2001 - German Wirehaired Pointers:  the latest German Wirehaired Pointer to join the Maursett Mob, Fizz (Normbar Coleen of Maursett), starts her show career taking AVNSC Puppy at the Tyneside & District Canine Open Show.  Clumbers: no Clumber classes, but Elley (Sh Ch Elley Extra Special from Maursett) is awarded Best AVNSC at the show.

11 November 2001 - Tony judges Clumber Spaniels at Mid Herts Gundog Club giving Best of Breed to Monaghan's Sh Ch Tweedsmuir Sweet Briar.

10 November 2001 -  The Maursett Clumber Double at Gundog Breeds of Scotland Championship Show - Judge Mr Michael McKay  awards the Bitch CC and Best of Breed to Elley (Sh Ch Elley Extra Special from Maursett)  and the Dog CC to RiffRaff (Maursett Mindsapint).

21 October 2001 - Maureen judged  the Geman Wirehaired Pointer Club Open Show, giving Best of Breed to Barbara & Sharon Pinkerton's Sh Ch/Ir Sh Ch Bareve Bukavo JW.

12 October 2001 - Clumbers: a new title for Elley as she wins Limit Bitch and picks up her third Challenge Certificate under Judge, Mr Frank Kane at Driffield Championship Show. She is now proudly known as Sh Ch Elley Extra Special from Maursett.  RiffRaff (Maursett Mindsapint) completes an enjoyable day for the Maursett Mob, winning the Limit Dog class.

8 September 2001 - Elley Extra Special from Maursett  (Elley) gets the Bitch Challenge Certificate (her second) and takes Best of Breed at Richmond Championship Show under judge, Mrs Ellen Dobson.

2 September 2001 - Maursett Mindsapint (Riff Raff) gets Reserve CC at the City of Birmingham Championship Show under judge Mr Derek Murton.

26 August 2001 - Maursett Mindsapint (Riff Raff) takes Best of Breed at the Scottish Kennel Club Championship Show.   Elley Extra Special from Maursett  (Elley) gains Reserve Best Opposite Sex. Judge Mrs Cath Steel.

4 August 2001 - Elley Extra Special from Maursett (Elley) takes the Bitch Challenge Certificate at the National Gundog Association Championship show.  Judge Mr Ian Layfield.

30 July 2001- Maursett Mindsapint (Riff Raff) takes 1st in Limit Dog, Leeds Championship show. Judge Mrs Freda Marshall.

22 July 2001 - after a year of hospital  visits for Maureen and Tony,  Maursett Mindsapint (RiffRaff) leads the Maursett Mob back into action taking Best of Breed Clumber Spaniel at the Dukeries Gundog Club Open Show, judged by Mrs Carol Gill.

July 2001 - our latest German Wirehaired Pointer, Normbar Coleen of Maursett joins the Maursett Mob and instantly takes it upon herself to ergonomically redesign most of our garden.  All escape routes are now monitored with more  security than Alcatraz!  A great granddaughter of our much loved Lynsett Alfons at Maursett (Fonz), she is sure to have a promising career both showing and working.
